Overheard on the Bus 2nd Edition

Ok so this isn't an overheard, but please see the picture below:

Yes, that is a chick with a fake poufy green dragon tail attached to her butt. Oh yeah, too bad you can't see the fake poufy green dragon ears she had on top. And her spiked choker. Her and her friend were also watching Anime. You just can't make this shit up. Seriously!

Welcome to the bus!

This Day in History v.21

Its been far too long since I've blogged about my fav city in the world...London duh. Even though I lived there almost 3 years ago, I still get nostalgic every once in a while. Doesn't help that I read random people's blogs who live there, it adds to my constant reminder of how fun the place is! I ran across this picture and I am reminded how many times these little suckers saved my life when a big double decker bus is flying in my general direction and I'm looking the wrong way...oops!

I remember when I came home how hard it was not to look down when crossing the street for this sign or looking the wrong direction (again)! Its amazing how much things change in just a year!

Are You Freaking Kidding Me?

I am a lover of all shoes, but this one takes the freaking cake. These are 8 (YES EIGHT) inch heels by Christian Louboutin designed for the English National Ballet. Apparently inspired by ballerina toe shoes, they were auctioned off to benefit the English National Ballet.

This article calls them "NSFT" shoes, or "Not Suitable for Toes". HA, that's an understatement!

How much do you think they went for? Geez, some people have more money than common sense!

Le Sigh

I wish American men has this kind of taste. I mean, come on a sportcoat AND cargo shorts...I love!!! You have to have the confidence to pull this off, but its amazing.

Or this guy's taste....

YAY ME!

....to me! I FINALLY got the promotion I was waiting for!!! Its about freaking time since I believe I was brought in the level under where I should have been so its been a long trying year for me. Thank godness I wont be in the same category as baby fresh kids right out of college anymore. If I have to hear "wow, you're SO old" one more time in a business setting I might shank someone. Because dammit, I'm not THAT old! Geesh!

Spotted on the Metro v. 3

Man, maybe this should become a weekly post with the weird things I've spotted around town. This one in particular is SUPER awesome because its the THIRD (yes, you read that right, T-H-I-R-D) time I've seen this guy sporting a seersucker suit! Twice it was the white suit and once with the light blue. The only thing that makes it even better is that I've seen him two days in a row now (yesterday and today!). If you need a flashback to the last post to make sure that I really mean its the SAME suit, go here.

He looks like Col. Sanders!!!!!

Same white shoes every time I've seen him.

Spotted today! Except today is a light blue color.
You can't miss him in that outfit!

Royal Fabulousness

Well, I must say that Princess Katherine looked AH-MAZING on their recent trip to Canada and the USA. But its good to see that even if she is a princess, she still has some hit or miss times! For the most part she looked amazing and stuck with her favorite color, navy blue. I wish I could afford her style!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Stylish even in flats and boat shoes! While working out...who can say that?!?!

Lovely color (but alarmingly skinny looking!)

This is by far my most favorite outfit. Damn you blogger for not
posting my pictures in the order I want today!!!

Classic chic...with GLITTER shoes!!!!!

Diana would be very impressed.

Love the pop of red!

How many calories an hour do you think she burns by waving all the time?

Love the jacket!!

The NO, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING outfits: (thankfully there aren't many!!)
ICK horrendous..this does nothing for your figure and those shoes don't go with that dress.

God I hope they don't think the American population all dress like this...ick.
Over my dead body would I ever wear that hat, that shirt,
that belt buckle or those shoes. Woof.

Guess she was going through a nautical phase?

There were plenty of other outfits, these were just my fav or the absolutely hideous of hideous. However, I must say out of all of her clothing changes, only 3 were hideous...that's fab :)

SAY WHAT?!?!?!

We all know my love of HP. Who doesn't love a little Harry and Hogwarts in their life? Well, of all the people I would have expected to turn out hot...it was NOT Neville Longbottom. Say WHAT?! Neville, H-O-T? Say it isn't so....well slap me silly across the face, this guy turned H-O-T-T (that extra T explains it all).

I now give you.... Neville Longbottom (aka Matthew Lewis):

Spotted on the Metro v. 2

Defying Gravity!

What can I say, Wicked was AMAZING!!!! The third time was just as good as the first or second time. But of course its going to be good!!!! Sorry about the exclamation marks, it was just so good. And I had AWESOME seats...Orchestra, row P. That's like 16 rows from the front! Since I was by myself I guess it was easier to get up front. I'd suggest each and every one of you to go and see Wicked if you have a chance. I get goosebumps every time because their voices are just SO amazing.

The only critique I'd have is that the guy who played Fiyero slurred all of his words together and, well, you could barely make out what he was trying to say!

But other than that it was W-I-C-K-E-D! Anyways, here are a few pictures I took:

Awesome message by JFK about the arts
The day is finally here!!!!!!

Some of the shows that have recently/are going to come to the KC

Wow, this place is beautiful

This is how close I was!!!!

Piano Stairs?!?! Yes PLEASE!

So I found this article about an article (ha, funny how that sounds) and thought it would be pretty awesome if DC got it too! If you don't feel like clicking on the article, its about how a metro station in Stockholm Sweden installed piano stairs! Think piano a la Big circa 1988 where Tom Hanks playing Chopsticks by jumping on the big piano keys! This would surely get people to take the stairs instead of the escalators! And considering most (OK, not most but A LOT) of escalators in DC are broken or in the process of getting fixed. Hey, if they did this in more places it just might cure America's obesity problem. Someone get on this STAT!

Because its too awesome NOT to share:

And here is the article video:
