Pepples Donuts

I am always on a hunt for a good donut.  You simply cannot beat a chocolate frosted donut from Dunkin Donuts....or at least in my opinion.  My waistline probably thanks me that I no longer live anywhere near a Dunkin.  But my brain simply cannot get over the fact I can't have a chocolate frosted any time soon :(

While walking the Ferry Building, I spotted these Pepples Donuts.  I've tried to pass by without stopping, but I finally fell to my cravings one early Saturday morning. They have a shop out in Oakland, but there's a little stall in the Ferry Building. According to their website:

Pepples Donut Kiosk open 7 days a week at the Ferry Building, San Francisco Across from Sur La Table on the South end. The donut kiosk is open every day from 9am-5pm. Saturdays we have extended hours 8-6.

They are touted to be vegan organic donuts....I don't know about you but that doesn't sound very good in my opinion. Ha. They make them by hand and us local, organic ingredients.  There were plenty of flavors to choose from, but I got a cinnamon sugar one. It wasn't my absolutely favorite, but I'd definitely eat it again!

Phi Mu Sisterhood

Man, so many more people stop by in San Francisco than they ever did in D.C.!  Amanda, a sorority sister who was at AU when I advised there, stopped by SF while traveling for work.  There's that time Hannah (and Megan) visited. Then that time Molly came too!  And you can't forget my (real) sister Brandy came and there was that earthquake (#onlyinsanfrancisco!)  I love that so many people stop by!

As some of you know, the bf has been gone since July, so I've been here by my lonesome self (except for my savior Brad!). I've said it before, but MAN is it hard to holistically make real friends as an adult. Doesn't help that I work from home and don't meet people either. I've joined Junior League, but that's a slow process because there's so many people in the chapter that you rarely see the same person twice! Okay, enough of a #pityparty for one day....here's to seeing those sisters and friends who come to visit! #youshouldcomevisitme (okay, and enough hash tagging for one day too!)

I do love how beautiful this city is! This is City Hall lit up at dusk and its just beautiful.

I don't know why this little guy makes me laugh so hard, but he does! I kind of wish I had both of those donuts right now!!! Why doesn't Dunkin Donuts have a location in the Bay Area?!?!!? UGH. My thighs thank you but my brain hates you DD!
